Accreditation preparation

Accreditation software for MÜDEK accreditation

UniMetrik brings together the program outcomes, course–outcome mappings, assessment data, stakeholder surveys and evidence files engineering programs need when preparing for MÜDEK evaluation.

A MÜDEK evaluation expects you to prove that the program has defined its educational objectives and program outcomes, that those outcomes are measured at course level, and that the results feed continuous improvement. In most departments that evidence chain is scattered across spreadsheets, e-mails and personal archives. UniMetrik lets you manage accreditation, assessment and continuous improvement on one platform. Every program outcome links to courses, every course to assessment tools, every assessment tool to student achievement data.

Criteria and how UniMetrik supports them

The headings evaluators expect evidence for, and the traceable data the platform produces for each.

Criterion 1 – Students
Student achievement is tracked per course and per outcome; risk analysis and early warning produce evidence of student monitoring and guidance.
Criterion 2 – Program Educational Objectives
Objectives are defined, linked to program outcomes and reviewed regularly through alumni and employer surveys.
Criterion 3 – Program Outcomes
Program outcomes are mapped to course learning outcomes; the LO–PO matrix, coverage analysis and outcome-based achievement rates are reported automatically.
Criterion 4 – Continuous Improvement
Improvement decisions based on assessment results are recorded, linked to the relevant outcome and course, and tracked in the following term.
Criterion 5 – Curriculum
Course information packages, ECTS workloads, prerequisites and curriculum–outcome alignment live in one catalog; missing fields are detected automatically.

How preparation runs on UniMetrik

  1. 1

    Set up the structure

Define program educational objectives, program outcomes and the curriculum; build the LO–PO matrix.

  2. 2

    Collect the data

Enter or import exam and project grades per question; run student, alumni and employer surveys from the platform.

  3. 3

    Report and improve

Compile outcome achievement analyses and evidence lists under self-evaluation report headings; record improvement decisions.

Frequently asked questions

Is UniMetrik MÜDEK's official software?

No. UniMetrik is not MÜDEK's official software, representative or endorsed product. It is an independent platform that helps engineering programs structure their own preparation.

Can the MÜDEK self-evaluation report be prepared with UniMetrik?

UniMetrik automatically produces the program outcome achievement analyses, LO–PO matrices, survey results and many other pieces of evidence used in the self-evaluation report. The report itself is written by the program. UniMetrik provides the data and evidence to be used in the report.

Can we import our existing Excel data?

Yes. Course information packages, program outcomes, learning outcomes and per-question grade lists can be imported from Excel or CSV files.
