Accreditation preparation

Accreditation software for program and department accreditation

Program accreditation (often called department accreditation) is the evaluation of a higher education program by a field-specific accreditation body. UniMetrik builds the shared evidence chain of that evaluation independently of the body.

The criteria of MÜDEK, FEDEK, SABAK, MİAK, EPDAD and the other bodies differ, but they all ask for the same chain: defined program outcomes, courses linked to those outcomes, data showing the outcomes are measured, stakeholder views, and improvement decisions derived from them. UniMetrik lets you manage accreditation, assessment and continuous improvement on one platform. Data is collected once; whichever body the program applies to, the body-specific report headings are produced automatically from the same database.

Criteria and how UniMetrik supports them

The headings evaluators expect evidence for, and the traceable data the platform produces for each.

Program outcomes and educational objectives
Program outcomes are defined, linked to educational objectives and TQF qualifications; changes are kept with version history.
Course information package and curriculum matrix
Course contents, learning outcomes and ECTS workloads live in one catalog; the LO–PO matrix and coverage analysis are generated automatically.
Assessment and outcome achievement
Exam, assignment and project scores are linked per question to learning outcomes; program outcome achievement is tracked term by term.
Stakeholder surveys
Student, alumni, employer and external stakeholder surveys run from one system; results are reported at course, program and outcome level.
Evidence files and the self-evaluation report
Evidence files are linked to criterion, course and improvement decision; an evidence list compiled under report headings is one click away.

How preparation runs on UniMetrik

  1. 1

Define the program and its outcomes

Enter program outcomes, educational objectives and the curriculum, or import them from existing Excel files.

  2. 2

    Collect data during the term

Faculty members upload grades and documents to their own courses; surveys run from the platform; gaps are reported automatically.

  3. 3

    Compile the body-specific report

Produce analyses and evidence lists under the criterion headings of the body you apply to, from the same database.

Frequently asked questions

Are program accreditation and department accreditation the same thing?

In practice the same process is meant. Accreditation is granted to a program (for example a Mechanical Engineering bachelor's program); the department is the academic unit that runs it, which is why everyday language says department accreditation.

Which accreditation bodies can UniMetrik be used to prepare for?

MÜDEK, FEDEK, SABAK, MİAK and YÖKAK above all, and any body that asks for program outcomes, course mapping, assessment and evidence management. UniMetrik is not the official software of any body.

Can one program prepare for more than one body?

Yes. Data is collected once; the report headings of different bodies are produced automatically from the same outcome, assessment and evidence data.
